Family portrait sessions are simple and fun with Deb Smith Photography.
We all have busy lives and sometimes it can be tricky to fit in time for the important stuff – family. You may have hundreds of shots on your iPhone of your children, but do you have any quality FAMILY portraits with YOU in them?
The little moments are gone all too soon, and children grow up so fast. In years to come how would you feel when your children look back at the photos and say “But where were YOU mum?” We were there of course, but behind the camera taking the photos most of the time.
The scary thing is most of our images these days will end up on an old computer hard drive, or a pile of DVDs in a draw. How terrible!
When you book a family portrait session with me it couldn’t be simpler (or more fun).
Here’s what happens:
1. Book in your session date, and pay the session fee of $100.
2. Together we choose an outdoor location like a park, or the beach.
3. Arrive at your session with your family and be ready to relax and have fun! We spend 45 minutes to an hours letting kids be kids and capturing some great candid moments as well as connecting with each family member individually.
4. Meet with Deb at the studio a few days later for your viewing and ordering appointment. Choose your favourite images!
What should I wear?
There are no hard and fast rules here. But I suggest choosing solid colours without stripes/patterns/images and choose colours in the same tonal range that go well together. You might choose some pastel colours in soft tones, or bright colours in strong tones, or neutrals like white, black, grey. We’ll have a chat beforehand to plan this out.
How Much Will The Photos Cost?
Family sessions are $100, and this includes the photographer’s time and talent, and a gallery of up to 30 images prepared for your selection session. Portraits are not included in the session fee. Ask for a custom quote for extended-family photoshoots.
We also offer business headshots, as well as makeover/beauty portrait sessions with professional hair styling and makeup. Be your own kind of beautiful!”
